Delete your GoSekai account

You can permanently delete your GoSekai account at any time. Deletion cannot be undone.

In the app

1. Open GoSekai and tap Tabi at the top right to open You.
2. Tap your account (your email address), then Delete account.
3. Confirm with your password. If you signed up with Google, tap Email me a code to confirm and enter the 6-digit code we send you.
4. Tap Delete account, then confirm once more.

The account is deleted immediately.

If you have GoSekai Premium

Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Google Play keeps renewing it until you cancel it there: in the Play Store app, open Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → GoSekai → Cancel subscription. Cancel first, then delete your account.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app, email support@gosekai.app from the email address you use for GoSekai, with the subject “Delete my GoSekai account”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We delete the account within one month, usually much sooner, and confirm by email.

What is deleted

• Your account (email address and password) and all sessions.
• Your synced learning history: reviews, review schedules, saved study batches, “already know” and “skip” choices, viewing reflections, word reports and watched episodes.
• Your free-show choices, friend rewards and invite code.
• Your customer record at RevenueCat, the service that checks Premium purchases for us.
• Your launch-notification signup, if you made one with the same email address.

What is not deleted

• Words you practiced before creating your account stay on your device until you remove the app.
• Other phones signed in to the same account keep their offline copy until you remove the app there.
• Google keeps its own records of purchases made through Google Play, under Google’s privacy policy.
• Our hosting providers keep technical logs and backups for a limited time for security and operations. These expire under their normal retention periods and are not used to restore your account.
